Welcome to the fourth...wait, is it the fourth? It might be the fifth...but third time’s the charm, so I’ll conveniently leave out the portfolio with the embedded midi file of the theme from Braveheart. Oh, and the portfolio with the pop-up window, a novelty that became useless when people mistook it for a coupon ad. So yes, welcome to my third online portfolio.
And why am I rambling on like this, instead of sharing with you the intricacies of the modern design movement, and shedding light on the role of mobile devices on the evolution of the user interface? Well, some of it is admittedly due to the thai food that I just ate after 9 PM, against my better judgement. I’ve already done the design-philosophies spiel on my last portfolio (you can see how pretentious I am by clicking here). And in this day and age, you can just google whatever you were curious about regarding design until you start dreaming in sans serif. I’ve been creating design work long enough to know that it doesn’t always have to be so technical. Sometimes you just have to let go and just let it flow. That goes for my design, for my writing, and probably for this thai food in about an hour...
With that being said, below is my portfolio of work dictated by strict HTML rules and screen limitations.
Before we get to that, though, here’s some things that go through my head while I’m designing. Hey, is there a better way to use a parallax module? Well, probably...
If there’s anything that tells you that I have the skills to pay the proverbial bills, it’s that green turtleneck I’m wearing in the main image. I mean, just look at those books behind me! But if that's not convincing enough, look at my design ethics below.
